'ఐక్యంగా ఉంటేనే అభివృద్ధి' - ఢిల్లీలో 2 రోజుల మీడియా వర్క్‌షాప్: విశాలాంధ్ర మహాసభ

ఆంధ్రజ్యోతి, జూన్ 30 : సమైక్యంగా ఉంటేనే రాష్ట్రం అభివృద్ధి చెందుతుందని విశాలాంధ్ర మహాసభ అభిప్రాయపడింది. దీనిపై జూలై 5,6 తేదీలలో ఢిల్లీలో మీడియా వర్క్‌షాప్ ఏర్పాటు చేస్తున్నట్లు మహాసభ ప్రతినిధులు తెలియజేశారు. తెలుగుజాతి ఐక్యతను కాపాడాలనుకునే వారంతా ఈ రెండు రోజుల సదస్సులో పాల్గొనాలని విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు. ప్రముఖ జర్నలిస్టు కులదీప్ నయ్యర్, సీపీఎం నేత సీతారాం ఏచూరి తదితరులు ఇందులో పాల్గొంటారని నిర్వాహకులు

పాత హైదరాబాద్ రాష్ట్ర విభజన, విశాలాంధ్ర ఏర్పాటు ఎవరికి మేలు చేకూర్చింది?- Part 1

పాత హైదరాబాద్ రాష్ట్రంలో మూడు భాషలు మాట్లాడే ప్రాంతాలు ఉండేవని మనకు తెలుసు. తెలుగు మాట్లాడే తెలంగాణ ప్రాంత విషయం తెలిసినదే. ఒకప్పుడు హైదరాబాద్ రాష్ట్రంలో భాగంగా ఉండి నేడు మన పొరుగు రాష్ట్రాలలో ఉన్న ప్రాంత ప్రజల స్థితిగతులను ఒకసారి పరిశీలిద్దాం. ముందుగా హైదరాబాద్-కర్ణాటక ప్రాంతం:

4. Koppal (Created out of Raichur after independence)

The following data is sourced from Dr. Nanjundappa’s report of Planning, programme monitoring and statistic department and HDR of Karnataka,2005

• Relative ranks of backward districts: Bidar, Gulbarga, Raichur, Bellary and Utara Kannada of North-Karnataka and Shimoga, Chikmagalur and Tumkur of South Karnataka deterioted over the years.

                                     

• Bidar with 56.06 percent poverty ratio enjoyed the dubious distinction of being on the top of the list.(rank out of 20)

• The composite index of development presented for the districts for different time points, helps understand the nature of regional disparities from this perspective. Between 1960-61 and 1998-99, Belgaum, Bidar, Bijapur, Chickmagalur, Kodagu, Gulbarga and Kolar districts have been pushed to lower ranks compared to what they enjoyed in 1960-61.
