That is the reason most of the bourgeois of Hyderabad are from UP like Maharaja Mishan Pershad, and all the judges were also from UP. After OU was established Hyderabad developed a small class and boorgula, chenna reddy,Ranga Reddy formed that class. However most of them were Muslims and they left after the police action. Hyderabad faced a serious problem of the officer class as they do not have many.
In those days the bureaucrats of Andhra were considered most efficient. One day after the formation of Andhra State, the CS of Andhra, Shree Pulla Reddy issued a circular saying all the employees should work 12 hour a day. With the towering Panthulu garu at the helm of affairs the officers of Andhra worked 18 hours a day and did not complain. ( Reference BPR Vithal's paper 2002).
Hyderabad wanted the officer class and that is what prompted them to open the talks with Andhra.

I can't understand what he is trying to prove here. He didn't even bother to check the date of the report which amply proves that the demand for Visalandhra existed in Telangana region even before the formation of Andhra state.

KV Ranga Reddy was from a feudal landlord class, though he claims in his autobiography to be from a family of moderate means, and also in course of time participated in Andhra Mahasabha and the like progressive renaissance activities. He was the President of Andhra Mahasabha, Shaadnagar and it seems unable to write and read in Telugu script, he wrote his presidential speech in Urdu script (though the language was Telugu)and read it out. Late Vandemataram Ramachandra Rao was not happy with such a President. Anyway immediately after Police Action, the Hyderabad State Congress passed an unanimous resolution for the trifurcation of Hydeabad State and for merger of the three linguistic areas in it with the adjacent respective linguistic areas in Indian provinces. At that time KVRR was fully supporting that resolution and this is reflected in his above cited stance in 1953. But once in 1955 or so Nehru expressly declared that he was not for the breaking up of Hyderabad State and a SRC under Fazal Ali was instituted, the separatist idea has sprouted up since there was an opportunity created. Once the Fazal Ali Commission recommended forming of a separate State for Telangana to start with and only after 5 years to go for merger if the Telangana legislature then voted for it, a golden opportunity arose and so KVRR and other power-mongers had tried their best to take advantage of that and grab exclusive power in the separate State. It is just like the 9 December 2009 statement of P. Chidambaram. Everybody knows that but for PC's 9 December statement there would not have been all this surge for a separate state in Telangana. KVRR's efforts were defeated and Vishalandhra was achieved in 1956. We have to wait and see if in the same vein KCR's tantrums can be defeated and breaking up of AP can be prevented this time.

Vijay what I wrote is true. I didnot mean to insult Hyderabad government and only stating obvious facts. Hyderabad did not have an officer class immediately after the police action. Whatever officers they had were either left to Pakistan and Middle East or some of them were arrested for conniving with Razakars. On the contrary, Andhra officers were educated in English and trained by British and they had the efficient of British.
The editor of Andhra Jyothy, K Srinivas ( known T vaadi) once wrote that after the fall of Nizam, Hyderabad faced a leadership vacuum. That is the reason they looked towards Andhras to provide them leadership.
There is no need to take things personally, these are only facts of that time.
Vijay, also, you made an interesting point. Many people at very high places do think that independence of India makes no sense. British officers are of course the best.
I rest my case if you argue that way. Then you prove to be as bad a bigot of integrationist as most of separatists are.
But being an integrationist you are at disadvantage compared to the others and that is if you want to keep the state together your equally animous comments are as derogatory when the need of the hour should be showing the reasons to stay together and garnering support.

I have only ed the facts. I did not make derogatory comments against any one. Some times the truth is very unpleasant.
