Chakravarthy expressed his disappointment with NRI college being closed despite parents’ valiant effort. He accused the Chief Minister of the state for not doing enough to keep the schools and colleges open. Chakravarthy urged the parents to take charge of the situation and pressure the school managements to keep the schools open.Sri Kumar Yadav talked about the importance of why our State should be united. He said our State came into existence with the sacrifices made by the people of all regions. He said a lot of young men have sacrificed their lives in the name of Telangana. Though the law is passed, he accused the government of not doing enough to even run primary schools smoothly. A few advocates also descended on the press club but were prevented by the police from coming in.I would like to thank all the media houses that have covered our event extensively.Come what may, the fight to keep our State united will go on.Save Andhra Pradesh!Nalamotu Chakravarthy

The Vishalandhra Maha Sabha and the Hyderabad Schools Parents’ Association on Tuesday urged the TRS and T JAC to exempt the educational institutions from the ongoing Sakala Janula Samme in the interest of the students. At a press conference, some parents expressed anguish over their children’s education being affected by the SJS. The Hyderabad Schools Parents’ Association secretary Subrahmanyam and other parents asked, “How long would this (closure of schools and colleges) continue?”
Former police officer Anjaneya Reddy said we should all be united and strive to build the future of the students and not to affect the same. He pointed out that the aim of the Visalandhra Maha Sabha was to keep the State united. Senior journalist and former BJP leader Parakala Prabhakar called upon the protagonists of the Samme not to use the students for their mean political ends.Cinema theaters, liquor shops, malls and other entertainment sources remain open but, why should only schools and colleges be closed,” the parents wondered. They had been assuring their children that things would be fine after Dasara, but there seemed to be no end for this situation. The agitation was confining the children’s perception to Telangana, Rayalaseema and Andhra regions rather than a global one. The parents also criticised the government over its inefficie ncy in ensuring proper functioning of the educational institutions. We spend 45% of our earnings on education of our children and still we are not able to ensure them proper education,” another parent said.
Meanwhile, Telangana activists consisting of advocates came to the Press Club and tried to stop the press conference. They said they would not allow any move to reopen the educational institutions and would obstruct anyone who tries to force the schools to reopen.Timely intervention of the police avoided any untoward incident. The police took the activists into custody.
