ఆంధ్రజనత దినపత్రిక, మార్చి 22,1969: వేర్పాటు ఆలోచనలకు స్వస్తి చెప్పి తెలంగాణ ప్రగతికై ఆంధ్రప్రాంత సోదరులతో కలిసి మెలిసి కృషిచేయవలసిందని తెలంగాణా ప్రజలకు తెలంగాణాలో విద్యాభివృద్ధికి, తెలుగు భాష,సంస్కృతిల పునర్జీవనానికి, మహిళల ప్రగతికి నిర్విరామంగా కృషి చేసిన తెలుగు పెద్ద ఆంధ్ర పితామహ శ్రీ మాడపాటి హనుమంతరావు పత్రికా ప్రకటనలో విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు. శాసనమండలి మాజీ అధ్యక్షుడైన శ్రీ హనుమంతరావు తమ ప్రకటనలో ఇలా పేర్కొన్నారు:
"తెలంగాణాలో ఇటీవల కొన్నాళ్లుగా జరుగుతున్న సంఘటనలు నాకు చాలా బాధను , ఆందోళనను కలిగిస్తున్నవి. ప్రత్యేక తెలంగాణ నినాదం తెలంగాణ ప్రజలకు ఎంతమాత్రం శ్రేయస్కరం కాదని నేను త్రికరణశుద్ధిగా విశ్వసిస్తున్నాను. తెలంగాణను విశాలాంధ్రలోని అంతర్భాగంగా భావించుకొని, చిరకాలంగా మనం మురిసిపోతూ వచ్చాము. మనం నిజాం పరిపాలనా కాలంలో కూడా సమస్త రాజకీయ, సాంఘిక, విద్య మహోద్యమాలను 'ఆంధ్ర పతాక' క్రిందనే నడుపుకుంటూ వచ్చాము. మనకు ఆంధ్రమహాసభ ఉన్నది.మన విద్య, సంస్కృతి సంస్థలన్నీ ఆంధ్రనామ శబ్దాంకితములు. ఆంధ్రతో కలిసిమెలిసి చేదోడువాదోడుగా వ్యవహరించడంలోనే తెలంగాణ శ్రేయస్సు గర్భితమై యున్నది. ఈ దశ లో ప్రత్యేక తెలంగాణ ఏర్పాటు ప్రయోజనకరం కాదు. గిట్టుబాటు కాదు. రాజ్యాంగచట్టాన్ని సవరించకుండా 'ప్రత్యేక తెలంగాణాను' ఏర్పాటు చేయడం సైతం అసంభవమే. రాజ్యాంగ చట్టసవరణ అనేసరికి ఎన్నో క్రొత్త చిక్కులను ఎదుర్కోవలసి వస్తుంది.దీని ప్రభావం ఇతర ప్రాంతాలపై చాలా ఎక్కువగా ఉంటుంది. ప్రత్యేక తెలంగాణ వాదం జాతీయ సమైక్యత సాధనకు ఏ మాత్రం దోహదం చేయజాలదు"
I am sure "telabans" immediately attacked Madapati's house, stoned his vehicle and set fire to his property. He was almost certainly villified in "loud, shrill, abusive and disruptive" language.

Telabans are ignorant lot without having any sense of the history of their own land. I'll not wonder if members of countless JACs and TRSV goondas have never heard of Sri Madapati Hanumantha Rao
Oops don't tell me "Andhrapitamaha" Madapati was not attacked! This probably proves the 1969 "telabans" were better than their present day descendants. No problem, let us hope they will attack the school named after him. That will give you a better story to support your pet(ty) theiries.
రిప్లయితొలగించండిIn 1972, Jai Andhra movement also raged in all intensity and almost all Andhra eminent persons, even NTR, ANR, et al, wanted separation of Andhra from Telangana. Strangely, at that juncture, it was Telangana leaders, including Marri Chenna Reddy and others, who intensely agitated for separate Telangana only 3 years back and won 10-11 MP seats under the banner of Telangana Praja Samiti with the goal of separate Telangana, but later merged into CongI, that very persistently and firmly worked for the unity of Andhra Pradesh and Indira Gandhi also stood like a rock and rejected all proposals for separation or bifurcation, etc. Telangana leaders agreed to scrap Mulki Rules, disband Regional Committee etc. and agreed to 6-point formula and a near-free status to Hyderabad, the capital of A.P. Unfortunately due to the dirty tricks and machinations of KCR and others, aided by power-mongering opportunist parties all - TDP, CongI, YSRC, and also betrayed by the left, the cause of unity of A.P. has been dealt death blows since 2001-02 but miraculously it is still surviving. I earnestly hope it will survive ultimately and prevail.
